Det f\u00f8rste skridt i at finde en l\u00f8sning p\u00e5 akustiske problemer er at kunne definere, hvad problemet er. Alt for ofte blandes forskellige typer af akustiske begreber sammen, hvorefter der foretages forkerte vurderinger. Mange gange f\u00f8rer det til, at akustikforanstaltningen svigter eller i v\u00e6rste fald forv\u00e6rrer udgangssituationen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fodtrinslyd<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Problemet skyldes st\u00f8j fra dine trin, som fx naboen h\u00f8rer, n\u00e5r du g\u00e5r. Trinlydniveauet skal v\u00e6re s\u00e5 lavt som muligt. Trinlydsd\u00e6mpning er et m\u00e5l for, hvor meget skridtlyden reduceres med forskellige gulvbel\u00e6gninger p\u00e5 tynde homogene betonstr\u00f8er. Der findes i \u00f8jeblikket ingen standardiseret metode til m\u00e5ling af trommelyd, men det forhindrer ikke, at der udf\u00f8res v\u00e6rdifulde sammenlignende test mellem forskellige gulvtyper ved hj\u00e6lp af tekniske metoder. Luftlydisolering er en forskel i lydniveau mellem to rum, hvor lydniveauet i det ene rum skabes af for eksempel en h\u00f8jttaler eller tale. Luftlydsisolering indg\u00e5r normalt i lydkrav klassificeret fra klasse A til klasse D. Generelt kan fx tekstiloverflader give et godt supplement til et rums absorption, men kun ved h\u00f8je frekvenser. Absorption kan ogs\u00e5 opn\u00e5s med t\u00e6tte overfladelag p\u00e5 grund af resonans mellem overfladelag og underlag. Et eksempel p\u00e5 dette er, n\u00e5r du s\u00e6tter en gipsv\u00e6g op p\u00e5 et betongulv. I mange tilf\u00e6lde kan denne resonans i h\u00f8j grad forringe luftlydsisoleringen. Desv\u00e6rre opst\u00e5r dette f\u00e6nomen ofte i lysspektrets taleomr\u00e5de, hvilket g\u00f8r, at man oplever forringelsen endnu tydeligere. I v\u00e6rste fald kan parketresonansen betyde, at man kan h\u00f8re naboens tale meget tydeligt. Uanset hvor god en m\u00e5lt testv\u00e6rdi viser, er det dog altid oplevelsen af \u200b\u200bakustikken, der t\u00e6ller i sidste ende.
